Welcome to the Pride Stone Parade -
GooseChase Scavenger Hunt!!
100 stones have been painted and set out at three parks in the Twin Cities. You have from June 19 - June 29 to find all the rocks you can. The first 25 to find and upload photos to the GooseChase app of at least 10 stones will earn a PRIDE fun pack of stickers. The first 100 people to find and upload photos of 20 stones to the app will be mailed PRIDE swag.
10 people will be drawn at random to receive a gift certificate for a signed First Edition copy of Katy Has Two Grampas, by Julie Schanke Lyford and Robert Schanke, one of the first children’s picture book to feature gay grampas!! The book will be published in December.
We have worked with a number of people to help paint the 100 stones that are on display in the parks listed below - they are along the paths, at the bases of trees, on bridges etc. Please do not remove the stones so that others can find them too!!
Download the free GooseChase app and look for the Pride Stone Parade game in the search bar - Open the game and start to ‘gather’ images of the stones you find to earn points and possibly win prizes.
Hints are in given in the missions - Parks to search: Loring Park, Thompson Park, Cherokee Regional Park (addresses below)
Lets create a ‘parade’ of images on social media!! Share your images - #pridestoneparade #tcpride or on Facebook
